This looks great! Wondered how you feel about the use of plastic though? Please don't think I'm judging, I'm just honestly curious because plastic is the one thing that's holding me back from trying a full raw diet. (Excalibur uses BPA in their dehydrator shells.) I've tried to use my oven as a dehydrator but the heat was inconsistent and didn't turn out.

There are a couple of things that hold me back from raw veganism. First, the taste. I know it's just something you have to get used to, but raw vegetables are definitely much more earthy and starchy than cooked, and I live in a place that doesn't have a great fruit selection. The fruits are always super tart and sour and not at all sweet or delectable. Secondly, the time that I assume is required to eat those huge portions of food. I know you have to eat more as a raw vegan to get in the calories. Just looking at the size of that salad, I don't think I could eat all of that within my 30 minute lunch break, or squeezing in breakfast between patient's in the morning (I work in the medical field)!

I hate it when people say to me "I could never be vegan." I always tell them that they could! They can do whatever they want to do. They just choose not to be. So, therefore, I'm not saying I could never be raw vegan, it's just seems very intimidating to me and I'm not sure that the benefits would be even greater than what I'm already experiencing as a regular, non junk food vegan.

Can anyone give their input? :)

I have been watching your videos love them !!! I'm just starting out I'm having a really hard time eating a whole bowl of salad. I've been surprised that I have to make myself eat snacks sometimes because i know that if I don't I'll be tempted to something I'm not suppose to. Hugs Heather

Looks yummy! I really want to try this! Just curious if you or anyone else stopping by has a recommended substitute for tomatoes. Although tomatoes are my favorite, I have a food sensitivity to both onions and tomatoes. I've seen beets as an alternative but those are on my list too! One day I hope to eat them again but for now I must avoid! ?

Lissa, I LOVE how many fresh veggies you eat. But, I have a question… how long does it take you to eat a salad? You eat HUGE salads and it must take you two hours! Anytime I eat a salad it takes forever to get through. And mind are much smaller than yours.
