• Raw walnuts replace flour — Jennifer shows you how to process nuts (and explains why they must be dry) to create a ‘healthy’ flour that’s nutritious

• Dry coconut ‘lightens’ the dough instead of butter — And unlike butter, coconut meat is high in protein, not just ’empty’ fat calories

• The dates add sweetness and serve as a binder, instead of sugar and eggs – Jennifer offers valuable tips that will help you achieve ‘even’ processing.

Your food processor does the hard work, turning the first two ingredients into coarse crumbles that come together just like ‘regular’ crust with the addition of the dates.

Leave your rolling pin in the drawer! This easy raw food recipe for tart crust doesn’t need to be rolled out. Simply shape in by hand into large or individual tart pans. With no flour in the ‘dough’ or on a rolling surface, clean up is extra easy.

    @retrogirl91 Raw is more than organic, although organic foods play a role in a raw food diet. Raw means that the foods are used from their natural, raw state and they usually aren't cooked in order to maintain that raw, earthy feel. This is believed to preserve the nutrients, beautiful color, and taste of the ingredients! Hope that helps.

    Sorry but did I hear you say 'butter doesn't have much taste on their own'? You better not let any French person watch this video. And by the way, I can eat butter and drink cream on its own because I think they taste amazing. I'm not being a troll here but rather just voicing my opinion. That said I do have to agree that the concept of raw food is an interesting one although I'm not sure if I would contemplate the idea of cutting out all those delicious ingredients that you omit in your recipes
